Board of Directors

Dr. Barbara Curry, President

Dr. Barbara Curry has been involved as a parent with the BYOC since its inception in 2006, and has been a member of the BYOC Board since September of 2012. Dr. Curry is a physician who works at the Billings Clinic, and she is an avid classical music enthusiast. She has witnessed the positive impact of the BYOC on young musicians in the Billings community, and joined the Board in 2012 as a way of giving back to the organization. She looks forward to participating in the continued growth and outreach of the orchestra and chorale.

Jeanette Woodgerd, Vice President

Jeanette is a Montana girl through and through. Born in Missoula and currently residing in Laurel with her husband and 2 teenage children. Her passion for the arts stems from years spent on stage in ballet slippers and tap shoes. She joins the BYOC Board after her daughter’s first year as a Choralaire. During that year she fell in love with the BYOC program and the passion of all involved to see kids reach their fullest potential, whether it be with instrument in hand or vocally. And she just had to be a part of it! She works full time as the right hand to Pat Schindele at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Floberg Real Estate. When she’s not working or helping with various events her children are involved in she can be found with fly rod in hand or behind her camera capturing the beauty that surrounds her.

Amanda Kleinhans, Treasurer

Amanda Kleinhans was born in Virginia and raised in several states due to military stationing. In 2006 Amanda and her husband, Joseph, moved from the greater Detroit area to Laurel, Montana with their small family. She has two children, Melody and JJ, that are both involved in music. Amanda has been a BYOC parent for the past three years in the Preludio and Concert groups. She currently owns and operates MicroBooks, a bookkeeping and tax service.

Stacey Casterline, Secretary

Stacey was born and raised in Duluth, MN where she began playing viola at her public school in the 5th grade and went on to play for the Duluth-Superior Youth Orchestra all through high school. She attended college in Seattle and played for a local community orchestra as well as her church orchestra. She has a Master’s degree in education and currently works as the academic coordinator for a local non profit agency in addition to being the children’s ministries pastor at Freedom Church. Stacey has taught private lessons, both violin and viola, for over 15 years and is currently teaching her 10 year old daughter, who began playing violin in Preludios in 2013. Stacey also serves as a mentor in the youth orchestra and is excited about the level of excellence in our Billings music community!

Her passion for educating kids and playing music is a great match for the Billings Youth Orchestra and Chorale.
